No Romance

There is no romance

these days

in typing

tapping out words

on my faithful mac

thumbing them untidily

on my phone

drumming them without grace

on my iPad

relying on auto correct

to cover my clumsiness

 

But oh

in the moonlight

in velvet night

beneath pure stars

I write your name

with my ancient Mont Blanc

in midnight blue ink.

 

I watch the nib

glide over virgin paper

and perfectly caress

your curves.
