She knows

for him

she will do

all the good

forbidden things

she has always

wanted to do

but needed

both permission

and instruction.

Always adore your verses. On a different note, I’m curious if you’ve had ancestors living in India at some point or know someone who had?

I am glad they touch you. Smiles. I haven’t. My ancestors are probably from Nordic countries. And I have known/know plenty of Indians, some who have lived there. Why do you ask? Smiles.

Thank you for getting back. I have a story in mind set in an Indian hill station (where the English had their summer headquarters.) I hope to gather experiences, not unlike Ruskin Bond writes about, for my story before they are lost. I was very little when we had some visitors at our doorstep, saying, “Oh, our grandparents used to live in this cottage…” I wish I could ask them more about it now, but alas!

It happens to me often. I have not appreciated the past as much as I should. Nor have I understood it. Smiles.
