The wind is torturing trees
stealing green leaves
clouds sail darkly
finding their way
to other skies.
I have been here
for what seems like
forever
remembering everything
forgetting nothing
painting you
with words
that never quite capture
your eyes.

Really loved this – especially your ending lines – “remembering everything
forgetting nothing
painting you
with words
that never quite capture
your eyes.”
A beautiful word painting!!

Eyes that once looked at you like you were her King. Eyes of your addiction so Angelic so beautifully clear. Your longing, your need, your lust.
Oh how they torment you.
