As I close my eyes

25 Apr

A sleepy

Sunday afternoon

in this quiet

English garden

lazily stretched out

in soft cotton

and faded denim

surrendering to sun

and shadows

light and cloud

insect buzz

and bird song

summoning you

to dance

in the darkness

of my imagination

as I close my eyes.
