There are no paths
leading back
into the past.
But all the roads
that stretch out
towards our hopeful
wide open
infinite futures
wait for us
impatiently.

Yes. I am learning this. And trying to look forward with whimsy and hope instead of looking over my shoulder wistfully. It’s a work in progress…but then so am I.
