I wear black

29 Jun

Every time

your eyelids close,

a soft meeting

of long lashes,

I mourn the covering

of your beautiful eyes,

even if only

for the moment

you blink.

When you sleep

I wear black.

What a stunning piece, it actually made me catch my breath.
    The ending is sublime.
