Raising a glass

13 Feb

On the eve of a day

commercially obsessed

with couples

I raise a glass

to those

who by circumstance

or design

will be alone.

You too

are special.

This one

is for you.

        Happy Belated Valentine’s Day.
I completely forgot until late yesterday! I had even planned to write a poem in honor of poor pitiful commercialized Love & kind St. Valentine. It was your lovely poems that inspired me.
I had a little time left and started writing, but my poem’s still half-dressed and still belated.
So, long story short, I hope your day was sweet, chocolaty, hot and spicy, red and winey, bold and beautiful filled with music and passion and sweet romance.
