Salt and sorrow

19 Oct

Art by Thomas Saliot

A silver tear

is captured

in her long

dark lashes.

A sad and beautiful

liquid jewel.

I kiss it away

and it leaves

a lingering taste

of salt and sorrow

on my lips

which I will always

regret.

I have displayed this jewel many times but never had it stolen away with a tender kiss of the lips.

    Beautifully sad Mr. D.

You always elicit emotions with your words. This time it’s just sadness. Beautiful. 💋

This reminded me of a word I learned the other day:
Dacryphilia (alternately: dacrylagnia) is a fetish where one is aroused by tears or sobbing.
