Promised it to myself

06 Sep

So much for change

I have once again been immersed in business. These last two months.

The familiar uniform of pinstripes, double cuff formal shirts, silk ties, cufflinks. My trademark, highly polished, black leather Chelsea boots.

The long days of meetings and plans, consultations and tenders, negotiations and reviews. minutes and reports. The constant ping of e-mail.

The soul draining hotel nights away from home. (Although at least this blog has benefitted a little).

It will end.

I don’t know if it will be two months or six. But there is an exit point.

And I will stop.

I have promised it to myself.

I, too, am at the edge of a personal chasm of change. Here’s to the leaping, and the discovery of our ability to either fly, fall gracefully, or simply accept that we will land with a thud and splat. Good luck to you.

I feel terrible for your suffering, but am relishing my good fortune in the quantity of your lovely words. Good luck breaking free Sir. 💋

Sometimes it is nice to know you are needed — but even better to learn it alone, again. Plus, I am sure you look handsome in your “uniform”. 🙂

That would be “leave it alone, again.” Sigh.

I love the image you chose. Sigh* I was born a generation too late.

Your suits fit the man you are – but the changes you make require different stripes …
Suits? Merely fashion for daily wear.
Changing stripes? Perchance a different lifestyle …
