Playing the Blues by Janel Eleftherakis

When it was over.

After fireworks had punctured the skies

with light and sparks.

After music had carried the wild-eyed dancers

through the night.

After dawn had cradled lovers in its arms

with blushing cheeks.

I came to look for you

but you had already become

someone else.

Your words are so romantically mournful. Stunning, Sir. Simply stunning. 🙂

Lovely to read and most lovely to listen too.

Janel is a great artist. I have used her work before. Great picture.

Somber, but so real. I guess we all change, and also always changing…the way others see us, and the way we see ourselves. I suppose there is no way around it. I always enjoy your more vulnerable pieces.

Thank you. I’m not sure if you liking the vulnerable pieces says more about you than me.

I am positive that is the case. I am always inspired by emotionally evocative pieces. Ones that make me stop and feel, even if it is painful to feel.

Whatever I am reading elicits an emotional response. Your writing feels like my I feel at the mercy of my mind and emotions occasionally..and reading your words gives me a focus. Rather like watching a movie and crying over IT instead of crying over my own thoughts. Thank
