Tapestry

Tapestry

I will take a thousand threads of you

Strings of contact and conversation

Fibres of film and photograph

Strands of time and place

Skeins of smiles, sadness and skin

Ribbons of remembering

I will take a thousand threads of you

And weave a rich and vibrant

Bold and beautiful

Tapestry of love

What a weaver of words you’re. This is beautiful.

As a stitcher/knitter I adore this piece! Absolutely lovely. xx

Well, without being a stitcher I would love it actually. It just speaks to me very clearly..the threads, skeins, fibres, ribbons…it’s my “thing”.. πŸ™‚

This is really beautiful; and hearing it read aloud really brings it to life! You have a lovely voice!

It is just a voice. But thank you.

This made me chuckle to myself. Does anyone like their voice? I do not like to hear mine on a tape..or if I was to make a recording as you do. But other people say it is a nice voice, so I guess I must go with that πŸ™‚ I do agree with Mandy though..you have a very pleasant voice πŸ™‚

‘Pleasant’ Cosy firesides and wool sweaters. Or lazy sunny Sunday afternoons. Smiles.

‘Pleasant’ – a voice which does not grate on the senses… ?? *laughs* (I was aware of how I should not use the words “nice” or “lovely” too much… lol… so … yes, pleasant.. engaging even! πŸ˜€ )

Ending should be on tapestry; the ‘of love’ is already implicit.

Perhaps. But I preferred the way it sounded and scanned. Thank you for reading and commenting. Smiles.

I wouldn’t have expected you to be one to succumb that easily: fractional irresolution underscores on occasion the best tension in certain weaves.

Laughing. But you expect too much of me. I am but a casual juggler of words.

A juggler of words? pretty short leash you’d been holding yourself to there no ? shouldn’t . . .

Words, like skin, never to be worn casually; even when…
