He is not so special
A barely competent conjuror of words.
A story-teller with a dark history of quiet sorrow.
A once almost-handsome face now lined by time.
A lover with perhaps half an instinct for what touches a woman.
A man as lost as those who find him.
He is not so special
‘So why,’
she asks herself,
‘does she want him?’

She knows why…
Because with all “his” faults he is still beautiful and worthy……of her.

Perhaps she finds him intriguing, handsome, caring, smart, very wise, dark and very talented with his words. That is the answer she can tell herself.

Because the description he has just given of himself, does not match sufficiently, the very special, prodigiously talented with words, genius lover, handsome, incredible reality.
& in as much as what you say may be true i.e dark history of quiet sorrow, these things make you extremely attractive to.your female readership , who adore you. 🙂

There isn’t always a definitive answer to that sort of question because feelings can often present themselves without rhyme or reason as to how they came about, or why they exist for one person and not another. They simply just ARE.

Because he creates desire. It’s the one thing she and everyone wants and yet it is not so easily achieved.

Maybe I’m wrong but, I think that it is not for his words, nor his intellect, nor his skills in the boudoir…she wants him because he wants her. Women are incredibly narcissistic creatures and his powers of observation, his appreciation of beauty, his strong desire makes him incredibly desirable.

Because I do not believe there is one – must there be an answer or reason? There are people in the world who can see past life’s lines and years and see the true beauty and honesty of truth. The truth that is seen is the truth the seek – it is their truth.
