Chant Revisited

Chant

I will chant your name

The chords beneath my fingers
no longer break the silence
with words I cannot find.
Only hunger resonates.

I will chant your name,

I will chant your name
in this night of endless yearning,
drowning in the echoes
yet thirsty beyond belief.

I will chant your name

Your eyes have held me captive
Starved me without thinking,
crucified my days.
Yet our suffering is the same.

I will chant your name

I will chant your name
A hymn to aching distance
Until all latitude means nothing
Only lines to score desire.

I will chant your name.

Your body will dance before me
a vision of solemn beauty
numbing me with need.
A longing beyond your golden skin.

I will chant your name

I will chant your name

I will chant your name …

One of your best ones. And then, when I decided to hear it.. Your fast paced voice, that sounded so in a hurry and so full of urge and passion, made it better.
    Well done.
But there is no need for me to praise you as you hear it often enough.

A praise is only valid, when it’s sincerely received. So I limit myself with eavesdropping only.
        But not today.
        You are welcome.

It was praise received with both pride and humility

Then I’m glad to hear it.
For a change, you’ll definitely be my lullaby before falling asleep tonight. That chanting tone of yours is perfect for the owl today.

Your voice is rhapsody, your words are a symphony. Your heart the melody. Play me.

You are truly a silver tongued master. I swoon at your words, especially when they are spoken aloud.

Not quite the effect that I had intended from gently undressing you – but I am glad you are happy.

I laughed at the fainting joke part of it. The gently undressing part will make me happy later. Only wish we weren’t geographically challenged.

Yes unfortunately I am looking to actually be gently undressed and not just imagine it. But until that time comes I do love to visit your exquisite words of passion upon my imagination.
