Respect

07 Aug

As a romantic Dominant I have little interest in women, let alone submissive women, who are without intelligence and perception.

I also have no interest in the tired clichés of much of BDSM with its endless petty rules and its insistence on the often mute obedience of the submissive.

The gift of submission should only be given out of respect. That respect must be earned. Without revealing his thoughts, desires and motives, what arouses, what captivates, what compels him, he should not be able to win her trust and acquiescence.

A romantic D/s relationship  is only truly rewarding when the submissive has intellect and sensitivity and yields herself up, mind and body, through a desire to please (and to fulfill her own needs) brought about by an understanding of he who would master her.

So are you retiring from everything? Or merely between…assignments?

Smiles. If you mean work, then I am not old enough, nor quite wealthy enough, to retire. If you mean lovers, then I would be very surprised if there are others. I am no longer seeking.
But who knows – one last fiery passion may yet fill these pages.

it’s seems better off to just stop seeking lovers. people are all illusions anyway, probably none of us can form an ever lasting passionate relationship. You start it, then eventually you move on. Maybe it just becomes too old eventually, and you realize that it just doesn’t matter anymore.

‘Lasting’ and ‘passionate’ are the hardest two to combine.

Communication is what this sounds like. It’s not a real relationship with out it.

I loved it before, even more so now. You are exactly right, of course.

I get the feeling that under some kind of media-hype induced frenzy, there are all kinds of behaviors being tossed into the BDSM pot. Some of them are probably just abusive. You are right to remind your readers of some of the fundaments…

I take it you mean ‘Fifty Shades of Badly Written Ill-Informed Rubbish’! The lowest common denominator always wins through in the end. The reverse of natural selection. Depressing.

RD…I had to do a private book review on Fifty Shades. “The story is a mess of “Jerry Springer” trailer trash type drama. The character’s have no clue with worse than fake dominance and pretend bi-polar type symptoms. The reading is pure chaos. The content is no more than role-play and rough sex with a hint of BDSM. Literary-wise…I seriously doubt if it wins any awards. I do not endorse or recommend.”
